NEW CASTLE COUNTY

West Side, Wilmington:

Partners: Be Ready CDC and Cornerstone West CDC


Increased food security and increased access to healthy food

·  2,540 weekly food boxes delivered to 45 families

·  2 community gardens maintained

·  1 farmers market launched 


Increased community safety and sense of belonging

·  35 Neighborhood revitalization projects

Spanish-speaking Population of New Castle County

Partners: Latin American Community Center


Increased access to resources for COVID testing and vaccination 

·  1,015 COVID vaccines administered at 13 vaccination events; 669 patients tested for COVID-19 at pop-up testing events 


Increased access to childcare and youth development opportunities 

·  1 Childcare center outfitted with furniture and equipment

· 4,871 families served through 32 community-based mobile pantries

· 1424 Spanish-and Haitian Creole-speaking families served through Resource Navigation
